Homemade All Natural Flea and Tick Medicine

We love the thought of repelling fleas and ticks the natural way. If it reduces the amount of toxins that our pets are exposed to, then we’re all for it! We found these ingredients simple, natural, and more than likely already in your kitchen! Ingredients such as vinegar, lemon juice and vegetable or almond oil are known for their natural tick repelling components, but when combined makes for a fresh scented, all natural pet flea and tick repellent spray.

In a spray bottle combine:

add 1 cup of water

2 cups of distilled white vinegar

2 spoonfuls of vegetable or almond oil

mix in a few spoonfuls of lemon juice

Spoonful of citrus oil, or peppermint oil

Spray on your pet’s dry coat, and avoid sensitive areas including eyes, nose, mouth, and genitals. For a short walks outdoors such as potty breaks, one spray on pet’s coat will do the trick. If spending an extended amount of time outdoors, spray two to three times per day to keep those ticks and fleas away.

So next time you take your dog out for a potty break, try this non-toxic formula and don’t forget to scoop the poop– that’s toxic too!

Happy Scooping!
